I listened to this podcast. Also, I firmly agree with you on "The Inner Light" (in some ways this is what I love about ST - the fandom is so big that eventually you're bound to bump into someone that agrees with your unpopular opinion); a planet's worth of people that can create a probe (with durracell longlife batteries) to roam around hunting for victims to trick into accepting a life you proscribe for them based on your self importance as a people, that you then cruelly snatch back, invalidating all those feelings you encouraged them to feel in accepting their speedy probe life *DEEP BREATH IN TO COMPLETE EXTREMELY LONG SENTENCE* but who can't put the expertise of their Cruel Think-Tank™ to replenishing/abandoning their drying planet makes for some unscientific, nonsensical, self-important aliens.
