I totally understand TheSirSpence <3 Take care of yourself first and I hope your family and you are safe during your move. I send you love.

Jessie, I really love your content and will continue to be an avid and hungry viewer. But with Covid, Brexit and my family's decision to move to Germany, I find myself out of work in a strange land. It is with regret that I can not continue to support you through Patreon. That said I will continue to devour your content and I do wish you every success.

<3 <3 thanks so much Northcott! Appreciate the feedback! I should try and include some audio in the edit to try to help with the sync

Jessie Earl

No you're amazing! I'm an insoniac too so I totally get it!

Jessie Earl

Indeed! It was really really helpful to take time for myself honestly

Thanks <3

<3 thank you so much for your support. And it takes a while to figure out what your joy is, and it changes throughout life... I'm lucky to have something that brings me joy right now and I hope you find the same <3

Hello, I've been lurking and watching your videos since the Captain Pike video you did a while back, and supporting here for a while, i just rarely comment (on anything really, i stopped commenting on the internet since 2005, honestly) . but new year, i feel like making an effort to speak up more. On your goals, i can only imagine what it most feel like seeing what you want to do and knowing the personal rewards if it works out, and knowing the risks. I've still not figured out what gives me that sort of joy, so to you i say go for it, and i hope to see you realize it!

love these "Jessie actually, not actually"

Happy new year, Jesse! Awesome to see you light up talking about your goals. They all feel like plans that grew from the ground of your growth rather than "were made". As someone who carries her share of regret for not including all her heart into the decision, what she wants to do with her life, I feel the difference acutely and I applaud your revolutions. (I think, they are not just resolutions ;-)) All the best! What you said about burnout deeply resonates with me. I applaud every decision you make for taking care of yourself, like the break over Christmas. I come from a family of self-employed people and have come to value the skill to make room for true rest and replenishing of one's personal energy resources as life-saving albeit hard to learn. Especially if one loves what they do for a living. I am so excited to witness your journey. Best wishes from Germany!

Happy 2021! The podcast was actually the reason I signed on to your Patreon. (ENT was the first time I connected with Star Trek and is still close to my heart; best theme music idk what they haters are thinking). I listened along with the first episode, but I’ve never listened to a commentary track on anything before. It was awkward trying to sync to where you were too (any recommendations on how best to listen are appreciated). I think it’s nice because it’s like watching along with a friend, but I’m just not used to having someone talk through the whole thing 😅 A post episode analysis like you do for Discovery et al would probably be more what I’m used to, but maybe I’m just missing out on the experience of that 🤷‍♀️. Whatever you think is best.

2021 will be very exciting for you! Life is not worth living without taking risks. As someone near the end of my life, I know that firsthand. With regard to your ENT podcasts, because we watch party ENT every Tuesday (with a good regular turnout), I'm not sure how many re-watch with your running commentary (or have access to it). Personally, I'd appreciate your thoughts on and analysis of each episode in, say, a 20 minute pod. I am very much enjoying ENT!. Thanks, Jessie, for all you do! With love, Marg

Go for it, you have an inclusive and thoughtful take on things that draws people in, there’s no reason why if you can put in the effort you won’t achieve your aim of being a full time YouTuber by the end of the year!

Awesome goals, Jessie! I'm excited to see where things go! Regarding full-time: I heard a useful metric for when you're ready to go full-time on YouTube. It's from Sean Cannell on Think Media. The metric goes like this: calculate how much your monthly expenses are, and divide that by 4. If you can make that much money (25% of your expenses) doing YouTube as a side-hustle, you should be able to cover all your expenses by putting all your effort into it. Just something to think about.

Please motivate me with that Tattoo! I'm toying around with getting one for about ten years now, always standing in my own way. Being on the cis-male end of the spectrum, a breast to proudly support a tattoo is unfortunately constant and hard work, so I'll either have to motivate me to "go to the gym" - childish, just as you said, or to be man enough to have a perfect tattoo on a not so perfect breast. Yes, pleas e motivate me!
