But despite some of my misgivings and concerns, I still found a lot to love, so let's talk about the LGBTQ themes of Star Trek Discovery "Forget Me Not".

I too know what it means to lose family during the pandemic... I lost my French aunt, all the way back in April. (I live in Germany.) I still haven't been able to visit my cousins and their families, or my aunt's grave for that matter. I could barely help my mother grieve, and she lives close by; but my parents are high-risk so I don't even get to visit them very often. Maybe I'll make it to France next year. It's such a bad situation all around. Again, I'm so sorry for your loss.
