Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom | Summertime Vibes Film | Full Reaction

I've been soaking in the evolution of this franchise all summer long! And I have to say, I was very ready and excited to jump into another Jurassic Park film just to see where the chaos takes us this time lol. Fallen Kingdom took a few wild and unexpected turns that made it feel like a huge turning point in the entire Jurassic Park series so far- and I absolutely loved it.

First off, Dr. Chaos was back! The second I saw him, I couldn't contain my excitement lol. Hearing his voice again, that steady cadence with his "life finds a way" energy. It pulled me right back into the roots of it all. And I absolutely love how his warning speech not only set the tone for the rest of the film but also served as a powerful reminder that he's been right all along.

What surprised me the most was how much Fallen Kingdom shifted it all. The island's gone. The dinosaurs aren't isolated anymore. The ethical lines are SO messy. The stakes are global. And I'm completely 100% here for it. In a way, since the very beginning... This moment has felt inevitable.

Thank you to everyone for the warning about Jurassic World: Dominion! I will be watching the Jurassic World: Dominion Extended Edition next! I can't wait, see you all there πŸ‘€

Kali, Another fantastic reaction to a fantastic film! I agree that this movie feels like a hardcore throwback to the OG Jurassic Park, especially with the many homages: the phrase "Objects in Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear" on a wrecked JP vehicle; Maisie trying to shut the door of the dumbwaiter as the Indoraptor charges; and, of course, the T-Rex interventions! You said that Claire's attitude toward the dinosaurs seemed to have flip-flopped, but remember that she began showing empathy toward them after she and Owen found the Brontosaurus herd that had been slaughtered by the Indominus Rex. She also experienced Blue's loyalty firsthand during the final battle with the I-Rex. Speaking of flip-flops, who was it that was agreeing with "Dr. Chaos" for the first half hour? But then as the eruption stampeded the dinosaurs, that same someone was saying, "I'm having some mixed feelings about this..." A few minutes later, you were in full heartbreak mode along with the rest of us as we watch the poor Brachiosaurus trapped on the dock as the smoke and lava close in around her. A few fun moments: Your face at the Maisie reveal: pure shock! 😲 Your nervous laughter during the Indoraptor-in-the-bedroom scene! Boy, psychologists aren't kidding when they say laughter is a defense mechanism. 😬 Your jump scare when the OG T-Rex comes in for the win once again! 😨 But the biggest distraction during the movie was Remy clawing the pull string for the window shade! You're right, that one is a little imp! 😼 BTW, the nickname they use in these films is "compy", not "campy". Short for Compsognathus. Finally, you missed a very short (~15 second) after-credit scene at 2:07:55. It's a cool scene, but nothing crucial to the story. Thanks, Kali!
