The Last of Us | S2 E4 | Full Reaction

This episode kinda felt like holding my breath for an hour and only realizing it at the very end lol. The tension, the quiet heartbreak, the flickers of connection all unfolded with such a raw intimacy that I almost forgot I wasn't actually sitting there beside them. I found myself overanalyzing every glance and silence, especially during those small human moments that reminded me why this story hits so deeply. I'm sitting with a lot of what I felt during this episode, but one thing's for sure: I love that Ellie and Dina are still fighting together for something real in a world that's forgotten how.

Baaahaha at the "fan out" trauma 😂 I can't wait to play the game when I can! Kind of sad that Season 2 won't encompass all of the game because that means it'll be even longer before I actually play it. But honestly, I think it's worth the wait with how incredible the show has been. I looooved the music store scene. And all of the quiet, unspoken moments in this entire show so far have been incredible. And yes! Dina's facial expressions made me tear up a bit. There's just something about an acoustic that brings all the tears and goosebumps lol. And I love that you can SEE Dina feeling that emotion.

I'm wondering if my internet is hiccuping or something causing the videos to be a bit slower. So strange since this seems to only be happening with this show lol. I'll make sure to keep in as many sync points as possible for you all going forward with these random issues. Thank you! Someone pointed out that some people's responses to traumatic situations is to just jump someone's bones right away. I can personally say this has never occurred to me but everyone is wired differently and I guess that's how Dina is wired haha! I'm nervous about Dina's pregnancy, but I'm also very interested to see how all of this will wrap up and play out this Season. I'll always miss Joel :( Sigh lol

The more we peel back the layers of this world, the more we realize how unbelievably messed up it is. And I'm glad you mentioned it in your outro, because the whole time I was thinking back to the end of your TLOU1 playthrough, where you talked about the same thing. About Joel saving Ellie, vs. a cure with the argument that what world is there left to save? And of course, there are good places like Jackson. But even in a world without the infection, how long will Jackson have to continue existing behind walls? I knew you would appreciate the complexities of this world and storyline, and you've been picking up on literally every subtle theme that they've been laying down. It's made for a super enjoyable experience watching! The music store scene with Ellie singing is so appreciated, and is the much needed bright light in what was an extremely visceral episode. The look Dina gives Ellie is everything Also, random side note - I can never hear the WLF say "fan out" and not get instantly traumatized back to my adventures of beating this game on the hardest difficulty for 100% completion and getting beaten up by them over and over and over LOL

Crazy episode! Looks like they stumbled into a war You’re right about how the world has become a never ending cycle of payback and revenge. Mirroring Ellie’s own reasons for coming to Seattle Strange timing for a sex scene. But…Ok 😄 I guess the timeline needs to be condensed for TV Now with Dina’s pregnancy, it’ll be interesting where the story goes P.S. I miss Joel too P.P.S. I did notice the sync went off after a few minutes. Not sure when it happened, but after I resynced, no issues for the rest of the episode. I’m in the U.S. and watching on Max as well.
