Status Update!

I know i haven't posted a new chapter in a while and I figured I should reach out to let you all know that I'm still alive :)
Honestly, I've been focusing a lot of my attention on the launch of Book 4 rather than writing Book 5. Which is a mistake in the long run, I know, but its something that's hampering me nonetheless.
Launching a new novel is a bit like a dad waiting outside the delivery room for his child to be born. You're constantly on edge and checking in to see if everything is okay. (I know because I've been there a couple times, book wise and kid wise ^_^ ).
Anyway I'm focusing far too much on adjusting Ads and checking rankings and sales, mainly because this book is not performing nearly as well as the previous launches and I'm concerned about that.
There could be a lot of factors as to why--some within my control and some not. It could be there are just way too many hot new releases to compete with right now. Or it could be that I lost too many readers after book 3. Or perhaps the core readership did not like the genre shift to cyberpunk from fantasy.
Either way, I am confident, from your feedback and the reviews thus far, that Gun Blade is a good story. Perhaps i just need to be more patient. Either way, I do need to get back to the writing.
So please send me some comments and/or buttkicks to keep me from from hitting the Amazon refresh button.

I don't know if you follow Luke c. (Ascend online) at all but he's trying something new for his next book launch. Basically a book launch team to gather people to push out reviews on the book's release. I don't know how it's going to work out but it sounds like a great idea in concept.

2019-03-28 14:33:29 +0000 UTCI love your work, Rick. I gave book 4 a full score. I think You’re right that a Lot of new books recently came out that you’re competing against. Also, your books are a bit longer to read than the others, especially since it switched between the two perspectives. I would think that the audible versions should do much better.
