Coming This Week

Hello everyone! First of all, a big welcome to all of the new members who have joined over the last month and a bit! Thank you so much for choosing to be here. 🥰 I have returned from my vacay to Europe and I'm feeling incredibly refreshed. Exploring new places and cultures is so good for the soul - my soul, at least. And it had been far too long. I'll include some info and photos below for those who are interested, but first let's talk about what reactions are coming next. 😊

While I was away, I had 10 edits completed for me (and some of these were Patreon Exclusive reactions, woop woop). However, 9 of them have been copyright blocked, womp womp. And a lot of them are blocked by companies who like to take a long time to action disputes/appeals and the like. 👎🏻 So forgive me if the early access and YouTube schedule for the next little bit is not as rock solid as September was. 😅

For Movie Watchers: I'm kicking off October strong with my two chosen horror movie flicks: The Exorcist (1973) and It Chapter Two (2019). I will also be sharing my reaction to Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018).

While I'm here, thanks to all of you who voted in the Horror Poll, which is now concluded. The winners were The Fly (1986) and Final Destination (2000). The Fly will release here on Patreon next week and FD will release the week after.

For TV Insiders: we're continuing with Severance (2x05) and we'll be wrapping up the rest of The Punisher this week (1x11 - 1x13).

📢 For Movie and TV tier members, click here to enter the November Member of the Month draw. You have until the end of day on Thurs Nov 6 to enter.

For Early Birds: you'll see early access to Charade (1963) and Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011), and then one or two other edits but I'm just not sure which ones yet. Weekly polls will be resuming next week, as well. Sorry I just need another week without one since I have so much in my to-watch list at the moment.

For YouTube Viewers: Charade (1963) is likely the only reaction being shared this week and will release on Thursday.

For Twitch folks: after like six weeks of no streams, I will be back this week. 😊 It's been so long since I've gamed. I'll be going live at 18:00 on Wednesday (Dragon Age: The Veilguard) and Thursday (Red Dead Redemption 2).

📢 FYI for Public + Free Members:

KL Eurotrip 2025

By the way, I want to watch that Eurotrip movie now.

I took so many photos and I haven't yet properly gone through them all and organized, so this is a small selection of pics.

Amsterdam was one of my favourite parts of my whole trip. It is such a unique city for me, since I come from a life where Car is King. I loved vehicles being the lowest priority there. It was so energizing to be around so many people on bikes and on their two feet. My favourite was seeing parents with their kids in little wagon things on the front of their bikes. I walked an absurd amount of steps, because I loved simply meandering down all the streets, looking in shop windows and looking up at people's apartment window decor. I spent a lot of time walking down the canals and looking at people's houseboats. It was rainy while I was there, so I did sneak away into the Van Gogh Museum for an entire afternoon and that is one of the best museums I've ever been to. And of course, I spent an evening walking the Red Light District and even popped into a five-floor Erotic Museum, which was lots of fun. I took a break from cannabis back in July, which I am still on and quite enjoying, so unfortunately there were no Coffee Shop visits for me this visit, but maybe next time since I will definitely be back one day.

I stuck to traveling the northern half of Germany and spent time in the cities of Cologne/Köln, Hamburg, Kiel, and Berlin, and many smaller cities and towns and villages in between. It's funny how Germany looks like a small country on Google Maps (especially when comparing to Canada), but then when you're there it feels big. 😅 The Cologne Cathedral was breathtaking - it was def one of my bucket list architecture visits and one of my favourite memories. I took a boat tour in Hamburg and for the first time in my life, I saw the largest shipping container up close. What a way to feel so small. It might not seem like a big deal, but for me it was very fun to experience a busy global shipping port. I tried Fischbrötchen, which was delicious. And Käsespätzle became one of my favourite foods ever. I had it three times and I need to learn how to make it so I can keep having it. 😅 And yes, I did also have bratwurst and currywurst. Sadly, I have a love/hate relationship with döners. They were delicious while I was eating them, but then two hours later my gut was like "What the fuck, fuck you for putting this in my body". 😂

On top of all that, traditional German breakfasts were delightful and morning bakery trips became something I looked forward to every morning. I have continued that type of breakfast since I've been home. Although I need to start baking my own rolls because there is nothing that is close to the same at Canadian grocery stores.

Berlin was a little bit of a womp womp situation. At a train transfer, I was going down the stairs into the station and tripped and rolled my already-instable-left-ankle very badly. Oh gosh, writing this now and reflecting back on the pain, I would not wish it on anyone. I had to remove some things I wanted to do in Berlin, but I still managed many thousands of steps while I was there somehow. It was still a good time in the city, despite the pain. Then a few days after the ankle roll, I became pretty sick with a bad cold. 😔 But hey, this is exactly why I am a slow traveler who keeps things flexible so that if I need to spend a few days in a hotel/Airbnb sneezing and coughing all the bodily fluids out, I can do so. 😂 This hurdle resulted in me having to fully abandon the loose plans that I had of visiting Poland, so that country will be on my next trip there.

I could not get enough of the architecture, the old buildings, the CASTLES, the large pedestrian areas in inner cities and towns with so many cafe's and such, and the walkability of it all. And bless the transit system there. I know the locals love to complain about how often there are delays and how awful transit is, but for me coming from Canada, it was a breath of fresh air. With a bit of planning and a ridiculous amount of Google Mapping, being able to get anywhere I wanted to with relative ease and for so cheap (€58 for a monthly transit pass that worked in the whole country) was just so nice. I did not miss driving at all.

I was grateful to be able to meet up with a local that I already know - my editor Miles! Something that I miss about Twitch as my primary platform is meeting online people IRL often, including the ones who have helped me with what I do. I met so many Twitch pals in 2021-2023 and those experiences have sloooowed with doing YouTube full-time, and will even more now that I don't really intend on attending another TwitchCon. So it was very fun to be able to meet up with Miles (and have a tour guide for a few days lol).

With that, here's my personal list of things I'll miss and things I definitely won't miss:

Will Miss:

Won't Miss:

Alright I think this post has been long enough. 😊 I do plan on doing some live streams soon-ish. I want to go live on YouTube to chat about Breaking Bad before I start releasing Better Call Saul videos (the first of which probably won't happen until November). I also want to go live here on Patreon before month-end to do some chats and Q&A. Stay tuned!

And thanks to everyone for all of your comments on the reactions that went out while I was away, both on Patreon and YouTube. It was fun to pop in every so often and read them and like them. 🥰

Have a great week! 👍🏻

The amount of outdoor seating was EVERYTHING, I loved it.

Guess who's back...back again...KL's back... Glad you enjoyed your trip. I have been to Köln as well. I thought that cathedral looked familiar :) My favorite thing from when I was in Europe is so many restaurants and cafes with outdoor seating. I see some places around home like that, but not nearly as much
