Andor Season 2: Second Arc [Eps 4-6] ✦ Watchalong Reaction & Review

Hey everyone! So much to talk about with this arc! I hope it's okay that I'm saving most of my thoughts for the end of the arc entirely. I'm looking forward to your thoughts! [Direct link here.]

Andor Season 2: Second Arc [Eps 4-6] ✦ Watchalong Reaction & Review

Lots on my mind but I think Rune has covered most of it 😊 I was surprised to see Ruby Wax turn up on the space tv. That was the only bit that took me out of the show for a moment- I didn’t see a fictional show host on a fictional tv show, I saw Ruby Wax being Ruby Wax with pink hair. Apart from that I’m finding season two to be deeper than one. Anyway, arc three is live now so I’m off to watch it 😊

Loving Kyle's many micro expressions, showing so much by hardly doing anything. So well played you are left a little uncertain if he perhaps does have some, if only a little, sympathy for the Ghormans, even if he is loyally reporting everything. But it is also clear he is riding high on this "secret agent man" life he is now living (it even seemed to me that he got turned on by the fact Dedra had him followed when he returned to Corusant). I think if he should ever switch sides, it would be if/when he figures out the truth about the whole Ghorman operation. And if he does flip, my prediction will be that he dies, sacrificing himself to save Cassian in some way. Saw is terrifying. Insane but also realistic. Rebellion is not for the sane. His addiction to Rhydonium, the burning pain, I think might be to remind him of the pain of loosing Steela. And over time he has now substituted the memory of his sister to Rhydonium itself, hence him saying "She's my sister, Rhydo. And she loves me". Loved to finally see Kleya in the field. The one person that Luthen listens to and who seems to be able to keep focused on the task at hand when even he's starting to fall apart. I think he has a lot of respect for her. I think Luthen knew before even sending Cassian to Ghorman, that he would back away from it. His goal is to teach Cassian to see things his way. In many ways Luthen and Krennic wants the same thing. They both wants to see Ghorman burn. Krennic, so he can get his precious rare earth minerals deal.... I mean get his hands on that Kelkite, while Luthen wants the spark of rebellion to happen somewhere much closer to the core worlds. Something that will have an impact that the Ferrix rebellion never could achieve. Personally I think Luthen wants Cassian to eventually replace him, should he fall. Loved to see Bix getting some closure in the end. Just wished they could have let him toast a little longer in the hot seat before blowing up the place.
