It was officially cancelled a month or two back. Sorry bud!

Just finished my full rewatch. I don’t love this show. I find it mediocre. It decided what it wanted to be and did it. But this show doesn’t need to exist. Honestly as Phase 4 winds down this is a perfect example of why Marvel has started missing the mark with audiences. One, not everything needs to connect to everything. I miss just seeing a show or movie and getting a beginning, middle, and end with those characters and that story. Not part of some extravagant narrative. Like the non-phase shows. They are very much part of the Marvel universe but off doing their own thing. The focus is them and their stories. Not how can we use this to promote the next thing. Two, if you want everything to connect, it needs to come to some sort of conclusion or mid-point. Phase 4 seems to be meandering with no purpose. Again, if you quit pushing the right audience will find it. Or maybe less is more? But back to this show itself. The rewatch helped me just see that nearly every supporting character introduced was some kind of jerk. They almost all proved to be a jerk. And I mean new characters, not Matt. My favorite character in the show is Jen’s dad. He was such a dad and I mean that as a compliment. I hope I’m as supportive and sincere with my girls. Only they know. Side note: I also just looked up the Marvel release order. I’m optimistic you can get to the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special by 12/25. 🀞

Just finished watching the season. You mention the low rating and how you're ready to skip the rewatch, and I understand how unlikely a season two is but would you consider reacting to a season two of She Hulk if it did get a season two? Like others I enjoyed Tatiana Muslin in Orphan Black, so I wanted this to work out for her. I've always liked Mark-Lynn Baker, who played Jennifer's dad. My Favourite Year, great movie, Perfect Strangers, great TV series. There was an article from the She Hulk writers complaining how courtroom dramas were so hard to write for. After I had the videos synced up, it went flawlessly. No technical issues! And thanks for the work you did on the videos! I know nothing about setting the timestamps, your digital clock was a big help! CLAP, CLAP, CLAP!

Oh forgot to mention that Matt said the accords were repealed by this point in the timeline so make note of that fact because this was the first time in years that they gave us a solid update on the accords. Everything changed after the Thanos attack and the return of everyone because of superheroes ignoring the accords so it made sense to repeal them.

It makes complete sense to have the two most promiscuous lawyer superheroes meet and "interact". The marvel comics are like the tv shows with different tones but the characters do still crossover and they do try to fit into the title characters world. If it is a serious character's comic everyone else gets a bit more serious and if it is a comical character everyone relaxes a bit and become a bit funnier. Spiderman and daredevil crossover many times in the comics and he is also a hero that is not serious most of the time. Even though this daredevil appearance is out of order of your viewing it doesn't really spoil anything about his life in new York though he does have a new suit you are unfamiliar with. They match his dad's colors.

Alrighty, so to quickly clear up the timeline, this show takes place in 2025, which is 8 years after daredevil season 3 (which was the last time we saw him in the Netflix Saga) (:

I'm definitely watching the B&W version!

1) I wasn’t a big fan overall of this show, but I enjoyed rewatching it. I think my issue with this one is if it’s supposed to be a funny lawyer show; they were very superficial with the lawyer part of it and goofy funny with the comedy part of it. That’s just not a winning formula for me. Unlike you though, I liked some of the characters. In addition to Jen, I enjoyed pug and her best friend Nikki. 2) And for the MCU timeline, all seasons of the marvel Netflix shows take place prior to Infinity War. She-Hulk takes place a couple years after End-Game, which also included a 5 year jump. 3) There are two options to watch Werewolf by Night. It originally aired in black and white, and that’s the way I believe it should be viewed. They released the in color version later, but I just think it’s better the way they originally released it.

Yeah, that moment in the finale was pretty great!

As a Josh, fair enough.

Tatiana Maslaney already had my respect and loyalty after Orphan Black. There's not many people in the world that could pull off that level of acting for 5 years. As far as She-Hulk goes, she did a great job with what she was given. Yes, it's just as cheeseball and camp as the comics and for Tati to tackle the can of worms that is Fourth Wall Camp Humor was always going to be a battle from the start. But, I would much rather watch She-Hulk several times over than Thor: Love and Thunder. But there again, we have the same issue. Gorr from Thor 4 who's a mega serious dark villain in the comics adapted into a silly movie and pushed to side-story territory vs Titania and Abomination in She-Hulk, who are incredible villains in their own right also dumbed down into really silly roles. What saved it for me was the Fourth Wall Break and confronting KEVIN, virtually rewriting her own finale. Even She-Hulk herself had issues with her own show! If that isn't the most brilliant thing ever, I don't know what is. They literally had their character call out issues like toxic fandom, half-assed stories thrown out there just to have content, and "too many chefs". The MCU hazed itself and I love them for that. All that to say, thank you MCU for She-Hulk. I hope you bring her back somewhere down the line. I don't want these TV characters disappearing.

I agree!

So on the surface, the finale seems (and just is) so crazy that it may seem to fit with the vibe of the show. But it's actually quite a brilliant thing they did. So it's obvious, but very much like Deadpool, She Hulk has the ability to break the fourth wall in the comics and is aware of her fictional existence. And She Hulk, very famously in a comic issue, literally broke through the frame, addressing the reader, then walked into the writers room and actually discussed the writing of her story with them. So her traveling through the Disney Plus menu going to Marvel Studios to talk to Kevin Fiege, was such a fun nod to something She Hulk does that very few other characters can do. I'm not sure why she can break the fourth wall? But since her creation, she's just been able to as a gimmick. So I think this was such a brilliant way to drive that home for the finale πŸ˜…
