A brand new weekly post: Wiki Wednesday! In this series we will highlight the heroes and heroines of the world of Sagas. We're going to give you some more information about their background, how they came to be and how you can use them in your wargames.

And what could be cooler than starting with one of the first sculpted heroines from the entire Sagas line?

Selene is a true tactician who has devised and made her dark plans years in advance. She is also a true leader and she knows how to get different groups of people to fight for her personal ideals.

Selene is what most would call a glass cannon. Strong, but a weak defense. She has strong magical powers and knows how to control the Hell Power. She also manages to regain possession of her famous staff in Jagrad: the Staff of Asasra.

Background

Selene was originally from the small village of Pholia in the Realm of Eros. There she was born in a warm family in the year 152. Selene was the High Priestess of Aur in Eros for many years. Selene was known for her enormous wisdom and beauty.

After years of seeing poverty from up close in the streets in the City of Eros she decided it was time for change. She saw how mankind slipped into destruction and how it got further and further away from the divine way of life. After the rape of one of her acolytes and the ensuing cover-up by the highborn of Eros, she decided it was time to act.

Selene decided to do the ultimate in her goal of destroying Eros, she decided to awaken the old evil hidden deep beneath the city. But she was betrayed by one of her acolytes, Thea. The ritual was terribly disrupted by the city guard of Eros and therefore turned into a fiasco. While the dark forces were already flowing through her veins, they suddenly became uncontrollable. Only through sheer willpower did Selene manage to drain the powers. And while Selene had the strength to let these forces flow away, her acolytes were unable to do so.

Selene was stripped from her titles and she was sentenced to death by a grand jury. But somehow she managed to escape with the help of Hector "The Broken", the temple's lowly gifted cleaner who was deeply in love with her. But after the loss of her powerful staf during her arrest she was powerless, for years she wandered in the Realm of Eros, awaiting her revenge, and finally it came. She was guided to the City of Jagrad with the help of Helios "The Lost" and his band of exiles.

Soon after arriving in the city she gained power of a local group called the Children of the Moon. The Children of the Moon were originally a group of homeless and poor who lived in the House of the Moon on the famous Munra Street in the Deeps. There they were being used as cheap labor by the crime boss of Jagrad: Babak "The Boss".

After weeks and months of scheming, backstabbing and other cunning acts she gained power of the Children of the Moon and transformed it in the dreaded Night's Cult, with her as their absolute saviour.
