Health, Finances, and the Future of the Patreon

Hey everyone,

I know I promised you an update by the end of July, but I was waiting on some tests to come back from my doctor before I committed to anything. Now that I've got the full picture, I've decided it's time to fill you in.

I'm suffering from a variety of serious medical issues that have left me exhausted, in pain, and almost diabetic. I may need surgery soon to help alleviate my sleep issues and help raise my energy levels, but that's up to a specialist I'll be seeing in the near future.

Financially, I'm a bit of a wreck. Between medical stuff, being unemployed for awhile, and some good old fashioned bad luck, I've reached a point where I've had to file bankruptcy. After working with a lawyer, I was able to work something out where I'll be paying my creditors back over the next five years.

What does this all mean for the Patreon? Well, even though I'm employed again at a new day job, I still need the income from Patreon to help pay my debts and bills each month. So, starting September 1st, I'll be once again publishing three one shots each month. I was hoping to take a hiatus for awhile and focus on my health and well-being, but unfortunately that's just not in the cards right now.

I know you didn't sign up to hear me complain about life, so I'll end things here. Keep your eyes peeled for new content next month. As always, thank you for your support and I hope you enjoy the adventures.

Cheers,
Benjamin

I just subbed the other day but 100% appreciate the adventures you’ve made! Thanks to your content I’m going to be trying my hand at being DM for the first time! I’m excited to see the new content you make/release but even more excited to hear about you getting better, hope the road from here on out smoothens for you buddy!

I know I'm new here, but I'm glad I was able to get here in time to help with this, whatever the small amount I'm paying can. Just try not to burn yourself out if you can avoid it, take care of yourself as best you can
