Fux Birthday Present 🎁

Last weekend I was invited to Fuxis birthday party. And since she had a latex hood without mouth on her Amazon wishlist, I decided to craft her one as birthday present. 😇 It's the red one, matching her hair, with ponytail hole and closed mouth.

I haven't made any latex item in over a year 😵 so I was a bit worried about the state of things, especially since a birthday present is supposed to be well done. And masks are particularly tricky! The nose and chin parts are a nightmare and working with 0.25mm gauge is always an ordeal.

So in order to not mess it up, I decided to do a second hood parallel, to basically have a practice piece to get back in the groove. And since I still had a lot of transparent blue latex sheet laying around, that was the colour choice.

In the end I needn't have worried, I still got the skills and both hoods turned out good. The blue one even a bit better simply because the blue latex was easier to work with and not as sticky as the metallic red.
And most importantly, Fuxi likes her present. 😉
