New camera - tech talk 😉
Added 2024-01-03 17:03:06 +0000 UTCNew year, new cam. I was finally able to replace my stolen equipment. 🥳 At least the basics aka camera body, and one of the lenses. Got an adapter ring again too, to use my old lenses on the new EOS R System. (I usually film with the "old" 24-70mm lens and sometimes take pictures with an old 50mm.) Decided to go for the 35mm lens again, since I quite like working with it. The things still missing are the 85mm lens and a camera bag plus some minor things like additional batteries or memory cards. Maybe I should get a 100mm Macro instead if the 85mm?
Problem is that the insurance of the hotel my camera bag + cam + all batteries + all SD Cards + two lenses + adapter ring got stolen from only paid a certain amount and not all of the losses, since they claimed that the value of the items did already decrease over time. But at least I'm able to film properly again! And since there was a new model on the market with some improved features I like, I got the Mark II version of the R6. 😇 One good thing that came out of this shit situation. 😉

Yay! So happy you chose the Mark II version of the R6. Good one! They should have replaced your items marked at their original value before depreciation though. That was pretty f*cked of them. 🥸
