It is rather difficult to imagine this, but you have to try: the ball sits firmly in your hand, suddenly it jumps off your hands and flies away.
From the point of view of physics, this is absolutely impossible.
Yes, in the world we are familiar with, this contradicts all the laws of physics.
But not in quantum physics.
This is the tunneling effect - a particle can perform actions for which it does not have enough energy.
Impossible?
Perhaps, but rarely.
So the particles fly away - evaporate from the surface of black holes. Black hole eats all objects which meets with it, you know;)
It would seem such objects from which nothing should fly away just loses their particles in this evaporation.
