Sponsored Collab ... or better not ?!

On average I get ~ 20 requests for collaborations per month. Most of them I reject instantly (doing advertisment for p*rn sites, reviews for products which do not fit at all to me or my audience, or if I have already similar coops going on).
In the case above it was about unisex jewlery. The wanted to send me some stuff and in addition pay a little bit for an "advertisment block" at the end of one of my videos. I was about to agree when I cross-checked the product pictures with Aliexpress. See above what I found: Basically they were selling the same stuff 10x more expensive. But for sure it would be the same or very similar products. They just want to appear as a "real designer brand" with their own shop and therefore have the higher prices.
I am just glad I did my research here. 😉 Because although I do collaboration videos on my channel quite often by now, it does not mean that I do promote everything presented to me without thinking it through. Definitely not.
From those ~20 mails per month I receive about partnerships, 1 maybe ends really in a deal.

The "original" brand is from China, too. => Guess they are selling exactly the same products from the same manufacturer just more expensive).

2022-10-02 19:02:00 +0000 UTCOK, in dem Falle, wo man wirklich kaum eigene Leistung erbringt und nicht mal europäischen Firmensitz hat, ist das in der Tat nicht gerechtfertigt. Gut, wird eetliche Mädels geben, die das trotzdem annehmen... Aber erstaunlich, zu erfahren, wieviele Anfragen du so bekommst. Kannst ja einen Zweitkanal machen, wo du wahllos alles annimmst und uns ja aus deiner neuen Villa dann mal ein Video senden. ;-)

2022-10-02 18:49:56 +0000 UTCI've seen that happen too with items being sold on eBay and Amazon. Sometimes those listings will include a picture of a name-brand product too, to make you think the cheap knockoff is worth the price tag.

2022-10-02 17:23:29 +0000 UTCKein Poll, da ich schon entschieden habe. ;) Die Firma, die mit mir kooperieren wollte, stammt halt selbst aus Hong Kong. Also kein Aufschlag für Zoll, IHK etc. Das Geschäftsmodell solcher Shops ist oft, dass sie die Produkte nicht mal selbst auf Lager haben sondern Bestellungen einfach nur an einen Wholesaler durchreichen der dann auch den kompletten Versand übernimmt. Aufschlag ok, aber 10fach zum Aliexpress Shop? Das ist einfach nichts, was ich meinen Zuschauern wirklich guten Gewissens empfehlen möchte - auch wenn mir dafür Geld geboten wird. 🙈 Hätten sie mal wenigstens eigene Produktbilder gemacht. 😆

Grundsätzlich funktioniert Handel ja so, dass man für seine eigene Leistungen (Verzollung, Kundenservice, Rücksendekosten (die tragen natürlich alle Kunden, bei "kostenloser" Rücksendung), Werbung, Durchfüttern von leistungslosen Geldempfängern wie IHK, Ämtern usw . Ach so, und Gewinn darf man für sein Risiko ja auch noch machen) einen Aufschlag hat. Im Niedrigpreissegment kommt es dann halt schnell zu 10-30fachen Aufschlag, wenn man als europäische oder gar deutsche Firma Waren importiert und SAUBER kalkuliert. Ich finde den Aufschlag normal, ich bin allerdings auch Unternehmer und weiß, dass viele in der Schule schon nicht den Unterschied zwischen Umsatz und Gewinn kennenlernen. Bei 1000 € Lubotins oder Iphones oder anderen eher wertlosen "Designer"kram, die im Einkauf keine 100€ Material kosten, sagt keiner was, da zahlt man aus stolz für seine "Marken" ware gerne den zehnfachen Preis, davon alleine für die Marke halt 700€. Aber ich finde es gut, dass du nicht wahllos jede Art von Collab mitnimmst, nur um den letzten cent rauszubekommen aus deiner ansprechenden Optik... Das macht deine Marke wertvoll und authentisch, ich käme mir komisch vor, wenn du auf einmal Werbung für nutzlose VPNs. Platinenätzservices oder sowas machst.
