I can name a lot of other directors that I truly love but none of them were as influential as him for me. Truly a loss to the world, a hole that can’t be filled, but maybe it shouldn’t be. He was one of a kind, and he will always remain one of a kind, no matter where he is

It’s somewhat comforting, however, that in the case of artists, we can encounter mirages of them in the things they have created; even when people themselves are gone.
