MOVIE REVIEW - Interstellar 70mm IMAX

My thoughts after seeing Interstellar 70mm IMAX at my least favorite place on Earth, the Universal AMC Citywalk.

Just joined the Patreon and was pleasantly surprised to see a movie review. Loved it and hope to see more on here. Saw Interstellar as a teenager when it came out and remember really enjoying the movie but not loving it the way I had hoped. Wasn't til I started getting older and truly started to feel the passage of time that I began to understand the devastating loss Cooper was missing out. The 23 year montage of video messages from his family, for me, is my favorite scene in a Nolan film. It's always where I felt the heart of the entire film lays, acted to perfection. I respect the part where you mentioned none of the major releases this year left an impact on you. Has me curious on your thoughts on Apes, Dune and Furiosa where that aim to have that auteurship many blockbusters refuse to have. TLDR; great video. Has me wanting to revisit Insomnia, Inception and give Dunkirk another shot.

I saw it in 70mm at the AutoNation in Fort Lauderdale, it was awesome. Cried 4 times and probably would’ve more if it wasn’t in public.

I usually get my film reviews/criticism from On Cinema, but you also seem to fit the bill for this. I do think you might be missing some things in this one, such as runtime, what actors starred in it, and of course a movie expert/film buff. However I know you're gonna get there. As a "GreggFreak" I know the importance of having an expert. (Jokes aside, I love this type of review it feels very YOU, personable to your experience and feeling and its wonderful. Cheers!)

I love hearing you speak so passionately about film. I can see in your eyes how much you enjoy it. Btw, you look very cute in your blue flannel. 💟
