Snake's Path Rough Art
Added 2020-06-29 20:05:45 +0000 UTCHey everyone! So as most of you probably know, I spend a crazy amount of time running Shadow Alley Press with my wife, Jeanette. The publishing side of things definitely keeps me busy--moving and shaking--since I do developmental edits for many of our authors as well as marketing and scheduling and about a billion other things.
But one of the things I LOVE the most is the art. I'm Shadow Alley Press's Art Director--I manage all the artists and work through the concepts for every cover that comes out of Shadow Alley/Black Forge Books (which is our Harem Imprint Arm). So, good, bad, or ugly, if we release art, I probably had a big hand in it.
One of my favorite Shadow Alley covers of all time is the cover for Snake's Life by Kenneth Arant (below). I just love the composition and the snake is absolutely iconic. Well, I'm super pumped because we just got the line art in for the next book in the series, A Snake's Path. I'm thrilled and think its going to be absolutely epic. I'm leaning toward Sketch A -- but I'd love to hear what you all think. Leave your thoughts and comments in the feedback!
