Before the release ...

Ladies and gentlemen,

I am almost done with the final steps of the Longship set! Here's a pic showing how many 1" base minis I was able to fit on deck (and if you optimize and squeeze a bit I guess you can pack in some more).

I have completed checking all the files (hull, mast, sail, extras plus the single shields and chests), making cut files and creating the instructions PDF. In addition to the usual step-by-step pics I have also added some illustrations to show an overview of how it all goes together. I have started this with the Norse Series and I think this was a welcome addition to the instructions.

If you look closely at the images on the right you can see that I have added a couple of double-up-details esp for the interior section. I cannot wait to see what you guys will do with this set :) With all the color, shape and detail options I can see a fleet coming together! If there is enough interest I also might add a small ship set with a rowing boat and a trading ship. This could be a nice addition esp for an "at-the-village-harbour" scenario.

The last remaining step is to add one more figurehead option. I have added a third already and I have another historic based in mind. For those daring and creative it shouldn't be a huge problem to kit-bash/design more if required but I think four are a good selection of options for this kit.

Once I have completed that last step I can pack it all up and start setting up the products in the shops!

Here is a pic I haven't showed yet ... waterline POV of the ship!

That's all I got to show for today, so until next time, stay safe and keep building :)

Chris

Yep, that's about right. It's over 50cm without the figureheads.

Impressive! Two feet long? (prow-to-prow)?
