We have a lot of new faces this week, and we are very happy to see you.

Thanks to your support, we've been able to reach out for additional voice talent to breathe life into Fur Quests.

We've also felt motivated to work extra hard to set some of our long-term plans in motion. Like a Dialogue system that will allow your companions to react to your choices in more detail, day and night cycles, more branching story paths, and RPG mechanics.

You may have noticed in our trailer that you can see Tera lockpicking a lock. This has been in the game for several months now. But we've just not added it in because we haven't gotten it to work yet. And the more we worked on it, we felt it didn't fit. It felt like a distraction rather than a fun element of the game. And if you are playing as a thief (yes, we intend to implement class choice later on), You might be going through this a hundred times over.

So we figured the best way of going about this would be to take a page out of Baulder's Gate and Disco Elysium's book and make it a roll based system. It is quick, efficient, and would allow us to write fun critical roll outcomes.

But it isn't all that fun or interesting to see a flat number in a text bubble informing you of your result. So we added a system with a bit more flash and flair to add to the tension when you get a low roll and the thrill when you get a high number.

We played around with dice for a while, but ultimately we decided to go with cards instead. It largely functions the same, and we thought it would allow us a bit more artistic flair!

Right now, we have some simple art serving as a place holder, until we can hire a professional illustrator to provide us with some art that will help the cards pop and inspire dread when the infamous joker card is drawn.
