Farm house texturing updates

I skipped April 1st so it was clear there are no jokes :-) Today I can show you the resolution of how I ended up doing the window shutters and doors. I just love you can toss out your questions to the internet and you get really good answers. Thanks to all who helped out with their ideas and feedback.

I also worked on a couple of variations of glass windows. Might not have been the real thing for small farm house like this, but I think I got the process down now. Can use that for when I do larger village buildings!

I think the walls are no done. Let me know if I forgot anything important.

I will continue with the chimney, roof and then interior adaptions and finally adding dust and weathering and hope to get it all done by end of next week.

I will also start working on this months Basic-Bit the tavern bar! And because I love this farm setting so much I might try to add another little (wheel?)cart.

Hope you guys are doing fine and not going crazy when you are in lockdown. Let's make the best of it and stay safe and sane.

Back in a bit ;-)

Chris

That's a lot of great ideas. The "stuff" handing on the walls I had planned anyway. Some tools or ladder etc. The animals I am hoping that a paper mini friend will do. I am not that good at that. I will look in to damaging stuff. I am doing the usual generic weathering. I like broken glass windows!

I was thinking that perhaps you could have some optional layers for little "extras" hanging about outside the farmhouse: rake, hoe, pitchfork (metal), hayfork (wood frame), butterchurn, 3-legged stool, towel hanging over window sill, curtain flapping out the open window in the breeze, lantern (on ground or hanging on hook beside door), water barrel, horse trough,, sleeping cat, dozing dog. Various scenics that would make the place "lived-in" and active, rather than a static structure. Perhaps a few "damaged" area spots of the exterior wall? or the door hanging off its hinges, broken glass windows?

Thank you. Doing my best and stay home most of the time!
