This was the first episode ever produced of the Fox hole, and I am quite happy with it! Fey put on an amazing performance as Fox. and I've always found something oddly calming about video editing. It was a fun idea to help us relax, while still allowing us to produce content for you. Since we plan on probably working with RPG Maker in the future, Legend of Opala seemed as good a choice as any to start off.
It was interesting seeing what the engine could be capable of and I got the feeling that is what Gabe was trying to do with the game as well. The quests for example never really seem all that inspired. But they do have some occasional odd quirks that make me think that they were only really there to experiment with the engine. Especially at the end game.
We didn't really touch on it in the video, because it didn't really fit the narrative of the video itself. But there is a lot of interesting stuff that opens up for you after the credits roll, including one of the most interesting Game + modes I've seen. I saw some people calling it under tale inspired, but Legend of Opala was made well before Undertale was ever a thing. So props to Gabe there.
