Tropical Variations
Added 2019-07-19 06:06:59 +0000 UTCToday I want to show you the variations I have implemented for the basic 5x3 house and the 3x2 extension. I can come up with many more, but I am limiting myself to provide the floor parts that will hold the modules together in a way that if you want more you can kit-bash them out of the existing ones.
So the title pic shows the classic extension. Here the veranda module is used as a full wall section, enlarging the house.
I have also designed a full 3d stairs element if you want a better looking version than the easy one.
Another version of this would be the same layout but with more of the platform space.
Here we have the "long" extension. This can be a longer version of the main house or - like here - with an additional door entry. Either two houses next to each other or one house with two doors!
Finally a two extensions layout. Here you see one veranda module used as a veranda.
I tried this too but to keep the number of variations provided simple I will not provide this directly but leave it to kitbashing. You can turn the previous one into this if you really want.
Also if you want more extensions around the core house you can stitch together the existing ones and form even more layout platform parts.
With optional door and window placement and these layouts you can see that with just these two elements you can build quite a large village with lots of different and unique looking buildings. Add texture and color variations and you get even more unique looks!
I am starting to get really excited about this project. Looking forward to add the texture and color details for this first set. And then of course to add the other two core houses with more variations! :-)
