Starting the bigger boats
Added 2018-07-09 10:57:10 +0000 UTCI have begun with the prototype for the gun boat, the first of the larger boats. The length is apx 8" so we have more breathing room for minis now :-)
I have also announced my plans for the Pirate Fleet Builder series over on these English and German paper modelers sites.

I use these communities for feedback both for the look and construction of the ships. Or course I will remain to show WIP info here too! :-)
I did a quick test to see how many minis I can cram into the boats so far.
Managed to get five into the jolly boat with wider inlay and then eleven into the gun boat (without a mast that is).
Next I have to start thinking how I want to design the mast and sails. I hope to be able to make it removable and find a way to attach it well to the hull. This should then work for all the larger ships too!
