Elder house first prototype
Added 2018-06-04 09:01:00 +0000 UTCHere is a first look at the engawa (veranda) of the new building. I put some of my existing models next to it and also populated it with some of the paper minis of my big box of figures to make the naked white test building a little more alive.
The first thing that catches my eye is that I need to make the posts really sturdy ... and preferable fold-flat-able! Right now they are just a flat strip of cardboard and will likely warp over time. I already have an idea but have to try it out yet. :-)
Another interesting challenge will be to find a way to connect the side veranda modules to the main building. I think the fold-flat slots could be the way but again I have to test how easy they go together and hold.
And finally, I cannot wait to get this building textured!!!
So, questions after questions and lots of work to do!
