Cannon intermezzo

So some time ago, I started with the above prototype. I just wanted to get the size right. I quickly made a "Jack Sparrow" test figure from an image I found on the net.
Tonight I had some time after working on the 3" fences, so I thought I try to refine the cannon.
I made the gun barrel a simpler (8 sided) shape and also used a toothpick for mounting it. I also tried out some optional decoration of the barrel rings. For a simple version this would just be textured.
The wheels have to be made at least 16 sided to look convincing and the wooden walls need to be made thicker too. But I think it is going in the right direction.
Once it is textured it could look really nice! Let me know what you think about this.

Get your crew ready to board :-) Actually it will probably take a while until the first ship will be launched into waters but maybe the cannons will be ready before that!
