"Clocktoberfest", I like it! More than a little bit of relief at this end, to see it spinning freely too! Thanks for the encouragement mate, I appreciate it :)

It's like Christmas in October, but still great time for a festival...clocktoberfest! Either way Chris it's an honor to see it spin so freely after all the fine work you have shared with us!! Beauty in motion...Thank you for the present. ~PJ

It was so satisying watching the clock coming together and the wheels spinning. I was surpised by the gear ratio! Nice to see that your fan base is growing rapidly as well! Well deserved :)

Hey Brendan, I have built up a great little clock reference library. Top of the list is George Daniels' "Watchmaking", followed by J Malcolm Wilds' "Wheel and Pinion Cutting in Horology". I also have a number of the older classic books by WJ Gazely and Donald De Carle. They all have something to add to the picture, but "Watchmaking" really stands out as a classic reference on just about every technique and issue.

Hey Chris. Where did you learn all about making clocks? any particular books?

Awesome Patrick, I'm so pleased you're enjoying the vids! The escapement I will be using is a recoil, with a silk thread suspension.

I have to ask, what escapement are you using in this clock? As someone who repairs clocks for a living, and a hobby, this is so satisfying to watch!
