Making A Bump Style Knurling Tool

This is the second video of 3 on the subject of these beautiful ornamental rope knurl patterns. The link at the end of the video doesn't go anywhere just yet, but I should finish editing that last video in the next few days.

Cheers,

Chris.

Hey there George, sorry for the delay in responding, only just read your comment. I will look at doing that sort of video in the future, but at this point I really want to get a few more of the project style videos out the door first. Cheers mate, Chris.

Great video as always really inspired me to ask the technicians if they can teach me some machining skills when I get back to uni, always wanted to try my hand at it. Also would you consider doing some tool usage videos as these would be useful and recon people would like?

George Harris

Hey Ruben, great to hear from you mate! Just finishing off the knurling wheel video, it should be up in a few days :)

That's a project I'd love to tackle too. Complex, beautiful and full of history - the perfect project :)

Awesome. I'm likely going to be borrowing a lot from your building techniques, I want to make myself a modern replica of the Antikythera Mechanism, which will have quite a few gears on it. I don't know if the current clock you are making will cover it, but it would be good to see how gears are combined together for longer gear trains.

Hey James, I made the knurls too - I've just got a few more shots and editing to do, and then that video should be ready to go. You should see it in a few days :)

Totally awesome work as always. Did you make the knurls yourself, or are they purchased?
