Agreed. Tony might prefer his daughter marrying someone Italian, sure, but the real reason he didn't like Noah being with her was because he was black.

This episode is definite one of the eeriest ones out there. There are certain things which really creep me out,
Shortly after Carm, Meadow and AJ tell Tony that Liv died, AJ is seen coming out of his room saying “Grandma?”, and IIRC it was just after Meadow helped AJ on his homework, a literature task about death and the colour white relating to death. I also seem to remember AJ anxiously glancing over to the picture of Livia on her coffin, perhaps she’s communicating with him?
Another creepy observation is the guy who comes into shot out of focus behind Tony’s shoulder on the stairs at Livias wake, a guy that somewhat resembles a younger Corado. Also weirdly, when Corado arrives at the funeral, he walks up to the coffin and smiles as if he’s about to speak to Liv, but Tony cuts in and stops Corado from saying what he was going to say.
Where Tony opens the cabinet door and the audience sees Pussy in the mirror. Tony sort of glances over where Pussy would have been standing and kind of looked spooked. I really love this because it’s a very small, subtle glimpse of the paranormal and I find it really eerie, especially when combined with all the other eerie stuff such as Tony's dreams, 3am, and everything to do with Paulie.

The reason why the actress (Marchand) who played Tony's mother was rendered with CGI has to do with the actress's death. Marchard sadly passed away between filming of seasons 1 and 2.
