Snake shot was just luffy trying to aim for hody's pressure points or nerves to in that scenario temporarily paralyse his arm. The lightning effect was just luffy pinching hody's nerves. Kind of like that shocking sensation when you pinch a nerve.

But honestly it feels weird because the name was dropped a few times and anyone watching it for the first time would be asking themselves questions and have a reaction to it. Though I get their reasoning if that's the case.

They really did cut a ton of that stuff that wasn't even filler. There are so many odd jumps, what a shame. And not using the piano we are music for the blood transfusion scene is a crime. But I'm glad you guys liked the arc!! Fishman Island is one of those arcs that I feel is going to be incredibly important in the future and the flashbacks are top tier.

2025-05-07 01:50:35 +0000 UTCWow, they didn't even show Ace when Luffy was doing his Red Hawk. It's one of my favorite moves and moments from the show. So surprised that the remastered cut that. And they also cut out the fishmen civilians not stepping out to give blood for Luffy, which made Jinbe stepping up even more impactful. I remember crying when I first watched the scene. Other than that I'm so glad that you guys loved this arc. This arc gets so much hate, but those people tend to forget the great backstory and how beautifully Oda touched on racism and the lore we get to know as we're coming into the New World. The only hate I think is excusable is the pacing because I had the same complaint at 2 parts in the story. Some of the hate from this arc also stems from Sanji which I can understand. For me tho Sanji didn't annoy me as much, he had me dying laughing with his gags. I'll keep defending my goat. I'm very glad you guys also laughed at his gags. "I NEED LADY" 😂 But there are fans that overdo the hate and dismiss the whole arc itself. Anytime I came across a fan that talks shit about Fishmen Island a lil too much and would say things like it was "unwatchable" or just "trash", I sideye them so hard because those are most likely the same ones that hated on Skypiea. I definitely think those types of fans are people who can't watch something that pertains to tragedies of our history for some odd reason. Nevertheless, I'm glad you guys are finishing this arc because I'm so excited for you guys to get into the New World! Another goated reaction!!
