ITALIA World Pack | Download — Better Beaches Update

Hello hello,

I've been working hard to create something really good to share with you. This is my most ambitious release yet, so I hope it was worth the wait!

ITALIA is a custom cc 'game pack' that transforms Tartosa into a beautiful Italian-inspired destination! Tartosa is my favourite world in the game, but I feel like it never gets any love because everyone hates My Wedding Stories. I want to help you fall in love with the beauty of Tartosa! If you don't have My Wedding Stories, there's plenty of base-game friendly items for you as well. There is A LOT of stuff in this pack (around 125 items), so I'll only highlight some of the noteworthy things included.

This is just the first part; next week I'll share the ITALIA cas collection!

CORE FEATURES

• Tartosa world override with new world lighting, buildings, trees, streetlights, functional objects, marketstalls, and decor.

• New food & drinks (gelato, pasta, pizza, wine, and coffee!)

• New custom-tuned functional objects to elevate your gameplay.

NEW FUNCTIONAL OBJECTS (custom tuning)

• Souvenir Stand | Purchase from a curated selection of art & objects. Includes items that are difficult to obtain in-game, as well as cc from two of my favourite creators bbygyal 123 and Pierisim. CC items will only show up in the shop if you already have the files in your Mods folder, so please check out their work if you haven't already! Sims can also purchase wearable souvenir t-shirts and baseball caps.

• Gelato Stand | Purchase gelato, ice cream, and drinks.

• Beach Stand | Purchase beach stuff, drinks, snacks, and souvenirs.

• Coffee Stand | Purchase coffee and snacks

  

  NEW FUNCTIONAL OBJECTS (custom tuning)

• Picnic Blanket | Sit, eat, gaze at the sky, and even bathe in the moonlight. *DLC interactions require their respective packs (Lovestruck, Life & Death)

• Beach Bathroom | Using this outdoor bathroom costs 1§ and restores hygiene & bladder without the uncomfy public bathroom buffs.

• Beach Bag | Works like a dresser to change outfit on-the-go.

• Cooler Bag | Stock with drinks & snacks. Functions like a picnic basket on blankets and picnic tables. Helps keep food fresh and fixes the picnic basket inventory to store up to 99 food and drink items.

• Stovetop Moka Pot | Brew a quick pot of espresso from the countertop or stovetop.

NEW FUNCTIONAL OBJECTS (custom tuning)

• Park Fountain | Toss a coin in the fountain and have a seat. The XL version spawns butterflies.

• Drinking Fountain | Wash hands or grab a drink of water with the infinitely refillable water bottle.

• Nectar Bottle | Pour a glass of nectar. Includes 7 new nectar drinks and new custom buffs. Also includes in-game nectars from Horse Ranch, Dine Out, Bistro etc.

• Classic Pool Float | Please download my mod Better Pool Floats for optimal experience.

• Restaurant | Call a waiter to serve a curated menu of food & drinks. Sims in a rush can also order to-go (without a waiter).

NEW FOOD & DRINKS (custom tuning)

• Nectar: Vigna Bianco, Sparkling Luminoso Bianco, Sparkling Luminoso Rosé, Rosa D'Amorosa, Amanti del Rosso, The Devil's Nectar, Bianco Spritz

• Gelato: Pistachio, Pesca, Fragola, Bacio, Fior di Latte, Vanille, Caffè, Limoncello

• Pasta: Carbonara, Spicy Carbonara, Spaghetti Alle Vongole, Cacio e Pepe, Spaghetti Marinara, Shrimp Spaghetti Marinara, Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

  

• Snacks: Marghertita Pizza, White Funghi Pizza, Fruit & Cheese Charcuterie Board

• Cooler Drinks: Bottled Water, Aranciata Soda, Lemon Soda, Mojito Soda, Barbet Light Wave, Barbet Wild Card, Barbet Love Bite

• Espresso: Caffe Latte, Cappuccino, Italian Hot Chocolate, Mocha, Macchiato, AmericanoNOTES

• New objects can be found around Tartosa and can be used in build mode by searching "ITALIA".

• At this time, my food & drinks can only be obtained through my cc objects (market stalls, cooler bag, moka pot etc) or a Dine Out restaurant. I'd like to expand on this in the future!

• There is a small animation 'reset' after using the nectar bottle. I tried my best but I couldn't fix it.

• There's over ~100 build/buy/food items and ~25 cas items in this pack. I'll try to share more screenshots soon!

• Please let me know if you run into any issues! I'll do my best to fix them.

  

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

MODS

• Download & Extract/Unzip the .zip folders below. "Extract" is not the same as "open". Please extract/unzip the archive.

• Place "Lijoue_BuyFood.package" directly in your Sims 4 "Mods" folder.

• Place the "ITALIA Mods" folder directly in your Sims 4 "Mods" folder. It's best not to delete or separate any of the food or functional objects because there are interdependencies. Some things are OK to delete (like decor and overrides). Feel free to ask if you're not sure.

• Feel free to delete any DS.Store files (these are auto-generated on PC because I use Mac).

AREAS (Requires My Wedding Stories)

• The downloaded folder "ITALIA GP11 Areas" contains 2 .world override files: GP11_Inland_01.world and GP11_Coastal_01.world

• These are replacement files that must override the original .world files with the same names.

• You must find and replace every instance of the aforementioned files on your computer. If you have 2 copies of the original files in different folders, yes, you should replace them in both folders.

• You can find the files on your computer in GP11 > Worlds > Areas 

• The exact location(s) of the GP11 folder(s) varies depending on your device and game launcher. Make sure "show hidden files" is selected in your file browser. 

  
  Here are some example paths to try to find the folders:

  PC:

  • This PC > Windows(C:) > Program Files > EA Games > The Sims 4 > GP11 > Worlds > Areas

  • This PC > Windows(C:) > Program Files > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > delta > GP11 > Worlds > Areas

  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\GP11\Worlds\Areas

  MAC:

  •  Applications / The Sims 4 / delta / GP11 / Worlds / Areas

  • Applications / The Sims 4 Packs / GP11 / Worlds / Areas

    You may need to right click the The Sims 4 app icon and select "show package contents" to access the contents folder (it may not show up in Finder search) There you'll find the 'delta' folder and then the path is the same as above,

  STEAM DECK

• Make sure "show hidden files" is selected in the file browser

• / > home > deck > .local > share > Steam > steamapps > common > The Sims 4 > GP11 > Worlds > Areas

• / > home > deck > .local > share > Steam > steamapps > common > The Sims 4 > delta > GP11 > Worlds > Areas

NOTES

• Because these are replacement files, they're incompatible with other .world files with the same name. That includes .world lighting files like Softerhaze's Sunblind. You can manually import the "World Timeline Color" from your preferred lighting mod. (only do this if you know what you're doing).

• The .world files only impact their specific zone. They have no impact on any other areas. If you want, you can only replace one .world file, and it will not impact the other.

• 'Inland' is the top area of Tartosa, and 'Coastal' is the bottom area.

• This does not include a map override and will not impact any map overrides you have. (I actually like the default EA map for Tartosa.) The map is just a picture. The mod changes the actual world, meaning you have to actually load into a lot to see the changes.

Please download the updated files below and delete the old versions.

• Updated several packages in the "ITALIA MODS" folder.

• Updated "Lijoue_BuyFood" to add temperature effects

• New functional item: Beach Towel (custom override tuning)

• New mod: Better Beach Venues

  • Overrides the Island Living "Beach" lot type

  •  Improves NPC autonomy so sims will swim 'off-lot' in worlds like Tartosa and Tomarang

  • Misc autonomy improvements for more realistic beach experience

• New functional item: Sunscreen and After Sun Gel (custom tuning)

  • Can be used on lounge chairs, pool floats, and beach towels

  • Sunscreen helps prevent sunburn

  • After Sun Gel heals burns & itchiness, helps prevent overheating

  • Purchase in build-mode or from in-game beach stalls

  • Inspired by products by Salt & Stone and Vacation
