July and Return Date

So, today I paused July because I know I'm not going to get back on track before that month is up. I am however in the process of getting everything ready (namely myself) for August. I'll begin posting the story again during the first or second week.
One of the bigger problems of moments like these, for me at least, with regard to creativity is motivation. Normally I don't need to feel particularly inspired to write. I've cultivated a bit of discipline and lean on friends for a bit of editing help and everything moves along at a reasonable pace.
With what happened however I've not simply been feeling uninspired. I've lacked motivation to do anything but complete the most basic rituals of survival. Plainly put, I've been depressed and rather severely. That isn't gone, but its gotten better and I feel like I'm in an okay place to get moving with the novel again.
One difference however will be me formally engaging a paid editor to help. Traditionally I've largely (gratefully) accepted the services of fans who were interested and had the time. I don't plan to discontinue this practice, but to get back on track I need a lot more assistance than can reasonably come from peoples free time. More about that as it unfolds.
