I apologize for not communicating this month after the initial notice. I've paused the payments for April.
With what's happened in my family I found myself becoming depressed in a way I haven't since my great grandmother passed just as I was about to start high school. Growing up which members of my family were my caretakers shifted, making a bit of a choose your own adventure situation with regard to role models.
I expected that this was going to be difficult but I severely underestimated how much. She's a private person and doesn't want the matter discussed and is keeping all but her immediate family at arms length. Its an incredibly normal reaction to what's happened. I also respect that what she needs is different from what I'd prefer. Its just hard.
I'm going to kind of just see how things go for now and I'll try to be better about communication.
