This one is about the cheap crappy insect zappers being hyped in adverts as being a breakthrough. They have an interesting bit of circuitry for creating around 400V from 5V though. It's actually viable to buy them just for the PCB.

I wonder if UV seeking insects waste half their life trying to reach the sun?

2025-11-15 19:39:31 +0000 UTCI did see so USB C connectors with two pins & sheild which said they had extra resistors on AliExpress. I put them in my basket & by the time I came to buy they had sold out or was it fake? I feel it was real as seen these in a friends light. As had to change the battery & Spidey senses went off when seeing no on board resistor as plug had only two pins.
