Seizure Intervention and Prevention Protocol

The following information does not constitute medical advice and is not intended to treat, cure, or prevent any medical conditions. I am not a medical professional. Anything mentioned in this article should be discussed with your medical provider to determine if it is right for your individual context.

If you or anyone you are with ever suffers a seizure lasting longer than 5 minutes, call 911 or whatever respective designated number for emergency services in your country. They can potentially die especially if status epilepticus occurs (continuous seizures). This is what happened to me with my first grand mal seizure where I was hypoxic/without oxygen for several minutes. Entire body purple, bladder and bowels evacuated, and sustained traumatic brain injury after surviving by the grace of The Creator.

With that said, this protocol is based on my own personal experience with epilepsy and seizures. The medications I was prescribed (diazepam and levetiracetam) and substances I consumed simultaneously (Rick Simpson oil/cannabis oil and etizolam) managed to intervene in and prevent grand mal seizures, but were ineffective for the petit mal and absence seizures I would still have. Since addressing and resolving epilepsy in myself, I’ve managed to intervene and prevent seizures in a handful of others who often consumed one or multiple substances at parties I attended since.

The most important factor in my experience was SOAKING/DRENCHING the back of my head and neck in topical magnesium chloride solution (150-300g MgCl/distilled water in glass spray bottle) upon any resemblance to a seizure aura. Some may not experience an aura whatsoever, or may not be in a state to be aware enough to determine they are. Not just a couple sprays here and there, but continuously soaking until I or others were capable of answering basic questions such as my/their name, location, place of living, etc., no longer jerking/shaking, pupils no longer dilated, or anything else. Local application to the back of the head and neck is quite immediately and is intended to target the brain stem and central nervous system calming them with inhibitory GABA activity and preventing hyper NMDA/calcium-glutamate engagement, hence why it’s so effective for anxiety, panic attacks, rumination, and intrusive thoughts.

Once no longer seizing and more aware of my surroundings, I would then measure 1-2 tbsp MgCl to dissolve into a glass of water and drink it down promptly. It’s going to taste salty, but that hyper excitatory state needs to be managed promptly and effectively.

I or whoever I was with would weigh 2000mg l-theanine to dissolve under my tongue for again direct brain inhibition/calming. I would often pair this with 1000-2000mg Magnesium glycinate sublingually. My line of thinking was that a bowel flush would obviously be more preferable to a seizure or multiple seizures. Fortunately, those bowel flushes rarely ever came interestingly due to the MASSIVE extreme stress on the brain and body that came with any seizure activity. This meant my body used up all that magnesium consumed.

I would then follow up with a cup of warm blue lotus, magnolia bark, and oat straw tea to ensure any residual excitation was managed and to prevent further activity. In my experiences, 1-2 pinches to 1 tbsp, 1-2 pinches or 1 tbsp magnolia bark, and 1 tbsp oat straw seemed to be most effective when I was struggling with daily seizures. I went on to consume these herbs in tea at least 2-4 times daily to maintain inhibitory biochemistry, along with 250-750mg Magnesium glycinate + L-theanine 2-4 times during daytime and 1000-2000mg Magnesium glycinate + L-theanine before sleep. Usually having 1 tbsp MgCl in a glass of water before sleep a few times a week, especially during hyper excitatory phases, but at the very least 1/2-1 tsp before sleep daily, with 1/4-1/2 tsp MgCl in each liter of water during the daytime.

There’s more that can be included, such as taurine, inositol, agmatine, glycine, and various other herbs, but this is what had been effective for me in my own experience, as well as those at parties who refused medical attention.

This will be a preface to the GABAergic recovery protocol.
