Grounding Technique with Breath and Soles to Earth for Vagus Nerve Reset in Sunlight
Added 2022-09-01 18:46:23 +0000 UTCI've said it before and I'll say it again...
The breath is essential to all life, so ACT LIKE IT. Aside from light, micronutrients, macronutrients, and movement, the breath is extremely important in fueling all cellular respiration processes (ATP development and production, coherent cellular water production, electron transport chain, Krebs/TCA cycle, etc.). If you review charts on each of these cycles, you’ll notice O2 (oxygen) is essential to each of them.
Begin this grounding practice daily to exercise your internal/energetic awareness and mental/emotional state.
1.) Visualize yourself rooted into the Earth at least 2 ft. deep at all times. Sounds simple enough, but maintain this practice to sharpen your mind, will, and energetic awareness. When you are standing, root from feet down. If laying or sitting, root from root chakra down.
2.) Bonus points: do this with your bare feet/soles to the direct Earth outside if you are able to with fresh air and direct sunlight on the skin. 15 minutes minimum. You will notice significantly more impact if you connect hands with tree or another plant to cycle energy with tree/plant in elliptical motion. The deeper roots it has, the better.
3.) Now, full exhale through mouth until lungs emptied. Inhale deep yet naturally through nostrils into stomach, inhale deep yet naturally once more through nostrils into chest/diaphragm, exhale through nostrils fully. Hold for as long as you can. Restart the cycle.
4.) Focus solely on the breath, ignore any sensations and thoughts that arise. Ignore dry mouth. Breathe for 7 min. Another 7 min. cycle if you feel necessary. Continuing rooting yourself with focus on breath.
5.) Allow yourself 5-15 min. quiet time to return back to normal consciousness. Gently bring motion back into fingers, toes, feet, hands, arms, legs, etc. to allow blood flow.
6.) You have successfully reset your vagus nerve. You may notice altered conscious states, this is okay. You are okay. If any emotions arise, feel them. Cry, scream into pillow if you need to. Journal if necessary. Acknowledge them and let them pass with each exhale. Have some magnesium orally or topically and/or blue lotus tea after all is said and done.
