Vetted Supplement Brands: Second Edition

I've been experimenting a bit with various new supplements I believe have useful applications. The following is a continuance of the previous Vetted Supplement Brands list from last year with additional notes for each, after having written about each compound on my Twitter page.
Magnesium acetyltaurate

Like N-ACETYLcysteine (NAC), Mg acetyltaurate seems to cross both Mg and taurine directly into the brain significantly compared to other forms. It’s been extremely useful and incredible for sleep in my experience, perhaps even better than Mg glycinate for sleep. Won’t hurt to experiment.
TUDCA

Excellent liver and gallbladder support, UDCA is used in hospitals for conditions like cholestasis and TUDCA seems to be similarly effective for this context. It functions as a bile acid support, taurine bound to UDCA, traditionally used for liver/gall bladder in TCM and derived from ox bile. Can be useful for harm reduction either consumed before OR after drug/alcohol consumption, or troubles with fat digestion.
Citrus bergamot extract

Shown to be effective in modulating high cholesterol/lipid markers in context of high/harmful lipids, best paired with dietary changes, exercise, and light environment changes.
Palmitoylethanolamide
An endogenous phospholipid with endocannabinoid activity, and it supports fat metabolism and ketosis. EXTREMELY useful as an adjuvant for chronic/acute pain, pretty useful for contexts like anxiety, depression, or low patience/irritability.
CoQ10/Ubiquinol

CoQ10 is shown to greatly support cardiovascular and mitochondrial health. Useful for improving cognition and physical performance as well. Part of the addition to LC/gene therapy side effects in latest immune system protocol edition on my Twitter pinned tweet.
Cheaper Ubiquinol, not much difference in effectiveness but different inactive ingredients

Lithium chloride

Ultimately comes down to personal preference, but I responded far better to lithium chloride than orotate. Either work. Figured I’d include this one since it can be microdoses to introduce in quantities naturally found in spring/mineral waters. Useful for GSK3B inhibition, mitochondrial function and neurogenesis. Shown to be of great support to mood/anxiety stabilization. More on lithium here.
Primavie Shilajit extract

Been using this form of refined Shilajit cycled 2 weeks on 2 weeks off. It’s been incredible for physical/cognitive performance, energy levels, nutrient absorption, and hormone balance.
Vitamin K2 MK7 liquid

Naturally found in natto and various cheeses, half-life is longer than MK4 but they each serve different purposes. A comprehensive study reviewing both forms is here. Useful for calcium metabolism/skeletal and teeth health, it functions as another quinone for mitochondrial function and neuroprotection, and it supports hormone status.

I’m a fan of liquids/bulk powders personally as you may all know by now, but I got these for my brother so he would remember to take them without liquid being stored in fridge or cold cabinet.

My preferred form of MK4, though a bit pricy. It lasts a LONG time, been taking 1-2 mg about 2-3 times a day for a few months now. Well worth the price.
Boron glycinate

My favorite form of Boron with additional glycine, useful for calcium metabolism, Mg and vitamin D absorption/utilization, hormone support, skeletal/teeth health, arthritic symptoms and inflammation, and neuroprotection. More on boron here and here.
Andrographis paniculata extract

Solid extract for those unable to find the bulk herb, is a crucial part of my immune system protocol for all three contexts.
Calcium/magnesium butyrate

Any form of butyrate from Bodybio is effective, but this is the one I’ve been coming back to consistently. Fuels energy metabolism, heals gut lining, massively anti-inflammatory. Part of my gut repair protocol if unable to tolerate the starches and goat dairy/butter to fuel butyrate producing bacteria.
