Dopamine Support

Smart Stimulants That Can Be Used Without Many Risks:

Bromantane is a Russian nootropic chemical that upregulates Tyrosine hydroxylase with long lasting benefits, which is the process responsible for the transformation of L-Tyrosine into L-Dopa, which then transforms into Dopamine. It also enhances Tryptophan hydroxylase, explaining why it is stimulating if you are going for physical and cognitive activities while being calming if you are doing nothing.

Semax is a Russian nootropic peptide that stimulates Monoamine pathways while promoting Neurogenesis through BDNF release and likely TrKB upregulation as well. It is a semi-synthetic peptide made from the pro-cognitive and pro-immune portion of the ACTH hormone, meaning it binds to Mineralocorticoid receptors. It also inhibits some enzymes responsible for Enkephalin degradation. More potent and cheaper versions: N-Acetyl Semax / N Acetyl Semax Amidate / Adamax.

Phenylpiracetam is a hyperactive stimulating derivative of Piracetam, the gold standard for all nootropics, with Dopamine Reuptake Inhibition and Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptor upregulation. It also upregulates some Dopamine and NMDA receptors. It should be used every 3-4 days as tolerance builds fast.

Sulbutiamine transiently upregulates D1 receptors, resulting in stimulation. It is a modified form of thiamine or vitamin B1, but do not underestimate it. It should be used every 3-4 days as tolerance also builds fast.

Uridine upregulates D2 receptors. Use it with Methylfolate (vitamin B9) in order to avoid folate downregulation (not folic acid).

Caffeine and l-theanine is a very well known nootropic combination. Or even better: Teacrine!

Mild Stimulants To Use Carefully But Still Safer Than Strong Ones:

Selegiline (Deprenyl) is an irreversible MAO-B inhibitor. Be careful while stacking with other stimulants, as it enhances global dopamine activity for several days. When used sublingually or intranasally in smaller dosages than oral consumption, you can avoid peripheral MAO-B inhibition and reduce the metabolism into the L-amphetamine metabolites (peripheral side effects).

Fl-modafinil is a more potent but smoother Modafinil derivative. Effects are smoother according to many reports, less jittery and more insightful, making it a better ADHD drug than classic Modafinil or Armodafinil. We do not know the exact mechanism differences between Modafinil. All Afinils enhance histamine activity, basically the inverse of antihistaminergic sleeping drugs. They are also mild Dopamine Reuptake Inhibitors and Dopamine agonists. Other derivatives: Hydrafinil, Fl-adrafinil, Adrafinil.

PPAP Hcl is a Selective Dopamine Releaser, an intelligent modulator only releasing dopamine in triggered neurons while classic amphetamine just floods one brain with dopamine. It also promotes some neurogenesis according to one study. It offers a better signal to noise ratio and less side effects. You don't feel the "tunnel vision" with PPAP, it is still easy to jump between tasks, and you will not feel jittery at a normal dosage.

Stimulant Supplementation Stack (Harm Reduction):

Mild/strong stimulants should always be used with L-theanine and Magnesium glycinate in order to take the edge off. This is also an effective approach for neuroprotection, but one can include Vitamin C and/or NAC to help protect the brain further.

Omega 3 fatty acids (DHA/EPA) from seafood and B vitamins (entire complex) from meats, organs, eggs, dairy/kefir, seafood/bivalves, and fermented vegetables are your brain's building blocks for neurotransmitter production, neurogenesis, and brain function altogether. They will help to preserve plasticity while using stimulants. Omega 3s are also a good anti-inflammatory.

Vitamin D from sunlight exposure and seafood is necessary for Tyrosine hydroxylase function, do not be deficient!

Dopamine Axis Reset:

9-Me-BC is a MAO-B Inhibitor and Dopamine Axis Neurogenesis promotor. It is stimulating while repairing dopamine pathways and resetting tolerance. Must be cycled and be careful while stacking with other stimulants since it is a MAO-B Inhibitor.

AVOID light exposure when using 9-Me-BC to avoid cancer risks.

AVOID strong methyl donor supplements while using 9-Me-BC, since it could transform into 2,9-Me-BC, which is neurotoxic. Better safe than sorry, I always say. (example: SAMe)

I would only use this molecule in order to reset stimulant tolerance, in order to help with ADHD/ADD, or in order to repair a damaged Dopamine Axis (drug abuse, Parkinson's, ischemia, stroke, etc.)
