June ☆彡Secret Sketches☆ミ Batch #2

Tiny batch this go around, but mostly because in June I have been working on things that aren't announced yet, as well as FINALS (!!) for Mushroom Rain. I did include a couple crops from that, but I'd like to keep most of it a secret until it's available in stores! It's been such a dream to work on that project in particular. Sometimes I kind of groan when I sit down to draw, whether it's because I have other things I feel I should be doing, or I'm just not fully into the subject matter. But with this book, it's been all love, all the time. I wish it was longer, really.

In the last image I mention revisions. Remember those editorial sneak peeks I posted earlier in them month? All of them got...basically changed to a severe degree. I disagree with some of the changes made to the other illustrations (now shown--but we can talk about that another time), but the one illustration that I did include was the one that I felt the changes they asked for were okay. They made sense, especially for what the magazine was going for. Once I have the published and printed magazine, I'll show some photos of my illustrations in place with the text. This was a lesson learned in my case: no project is ever as cut and dry and quick as it seems.

On an unrelated note I will be recording the audio Q&A regarding the comic questions you guys had for me--originally I was going to make a long text post, but I think I can articulate things and convey what I'm feeling more in audio format. There will still be a text post with accompanying images, but that might have to wait until July--I am still waiting to hear back how much I can share from the works in progress of ARDEN HIGH, the graphic novel in mention. The Q&A is all fair game though!! Can't wait to record this session, so with that, I'll talk to you later today!
