I've got quite a lot this month for you, seeing as I had more time to sketchbook and some select sketches to share from one of my current freelance projects (The Anne of Green Gables picture book).
I have just recently bought the largest sketchbook that I have used in years. I believe it is 8 x 10 in., and I usually do not exceed 5 x 7. It feels incredible to not have to restrict my size, and it forces me to be more spontaneous and bold with my decisions. When I drew Colin reclining (the last image), normally I wouldn't be able to get the details or proportions I want with a smaller sketchbook. I'm also trying a new brand--this one is from Leda Art Supply. Normally I like to use handbook brand. I wanted to try a soft cover large sketchbook and so far I have been having a great time with this switch!

2020-12-02 16:29:55 +0000 UTCLove all these sketches soooo much! Definitely going to check out Leda Art Supply. I usually buy Handbook as well, the paper is gorgeous but I find that their sketchbooks can sometimes be too small for my hand to rest comfortably when drawing.

2020-12-01 16:28:32 +0000 UTCThis is a really good question/concern. I still feel that way once in a while. I think I just keep adding more elements until I forget about the thing that looks "bad". I also try to keep in mind that this is my practice space and nobody ever has to see it if I don't want them to!

I dunno if this makes sense, but I tend to be really critical of my sketches when drawing and have to constantly move to a new page when I think something looks “ugly”. Do you have any tips on maintaining fluidity in the sketching process? Also, I got really excited when I saw The8. I love Seventeen! Their music videos are amazing!
