Hello all! You might notice I have done things a bit differently this month. Instead of doing a text entry with images spliced in throughout, I wanted to make an image gallery. A patron pointed out that it was difficult for them to see the previous month's secret sketches and had to download the images in order to view them larger--thank you for your input! Hopefully this is a bit easier to view and navigate. If you click on the images, a caption will pop up for each one that gives a brief description of what you're looking at.
This month I wasn't able to sketchbook as much as I'd like to have because I had other things I needed to focus on. I always feel a certain longing when I haven't worked in it for a while though, so I want to get back to it as soon as I can. The great thing about a sketchbook is it gives you something to do in public. I feel a little awkward just sitting there, people watching depending on the location (though I still absolutely do it), so having an excuse to get out and occupy myself while still taking in my surroundings is ideal.
I've included more sketches from the beginning stages of larger pieces, including things I consider to be kind of "rough". I have a bad habit of deleting these when I realize they aren't working, but I kept you guys in mind this month and made sure I saved them!
Materials used this time: most digital sketches I do in procreate with the 6B Pencil brush, occasionally using the mercury brush. In my sketchbook, I'm always using that blessed Pilot Precise V5 Extra Fine or Microns (my favorites are 05 and 08).
Until next time! ☾
