Status update: about this page
Added 2022-11-18 10:26:42 +0000 UTCI thought a bit in the last few days about what I should do with my Patreon page. In particular, what content I should produce and post to Patreon and what I should instead post to other places, like the project website, YouTube, TikTok, Twitter.
For Patreon it makes sense to focus on status updates, I think. I will therefore commit to posting, every Friday, weekly updates with a summary of the work I did, including pictures, videos and considerations on how the week went.
I believe this kind of content will be interesting to people that share excitement for my vision and what I am trying to achieve. For this reason, it makes sense to restrict this content and make it visible to my patrons only.
For some time I will be speaking in the void, but that’s not too bad. Writing up what I have been doing in the past week has value for me. It will help me evaluate my progress and understand whether I am making steps in the right direction. The weekly update will also be an opportunity to review my plan for the coming week.
I may be posting some of this information to Twitter, but in a more concise form. I will also be posting videos to social media to promote the project, reserving the project’s YouTube channel for videos that, I believe, have a greater value and are original and/or educational.
Finally, I’ll reserve the project’s website (I created it this week at relativisticgame.net) for posts that are more technical and are difficult to share in Patreon. These posts will go into physics, maths or programming details. They may discuss how I implement Special Relativity in my game or details of my game engine.
