Supersonic bamboo skewer test
Added 2022-08-09 02:39:48 +0000 UTCIs it possible to propel ordinary bamboo skewers to supersonic speeds? It might sound easy but we had a very difficult time with this project to get it to work.

2022-09-02 16:24:46 +0000 UTCJeff - Didn't get a chance to post a better comment. Whichever of you that owns that nice Remington 552 semi-auto has one of the best 22 autoloaders in existence. As I recall, that doggone thing will cycle 22 shorts. You even have the model that has the more reasonable front sight than the Buck Rogers type found on a lot of those guns including the Nylon 66. I'd rate that rifle right with the Weatherby 22 in desireablitiy. Skewer is also a chess term whereby more than one thing is attacked by the same piece with the more valuable piece being in front of the other. Nice video, Steve
