Huh, I certainly would have figured the 357 would have gone right through, like you guys. Demo ranch just did one where a guy sent in a ceramic tile wrapped in old seatbelts. It stopped quite a bit, might be worth a test with more calibers, or different wrapping.

2019-10-09 00:30:13 +0000 UTCAccording to a quick bit of research, they are using Remington 870s with beanbag rounds, S&W 10s in .38 Special, Federal 201-Z 37 and 38 mm beanbag and teargas rounds, and if crowds become uncontrollable, AR-15 "military assault rifles"

2019-10-08 07:18:46 +0000 UTCI suspect the gaps between the plates help by providing some deformation resistance before hitting the next plate. I doubt a 1/2” plate would do as well, though it would make an interesting test.
