Radfall - Beta Testing - 1

As mentioned in my previous Dev Blog, I've decided to take the main list in a more vanilla direction, and develop all-in-one solution for players wanting the kind of more niche, survival experience I've developed in v6. Radfall is that all-in-one overhaul. Radfall started as a compilation of all my survival mods: Stimpacked, Loaded Out, Barter, Degrade and Salvage, Feast and Famine, as well as my perk overhaul True Perks- so if you like those mods, then chances are you'll like this. It is a single plugin, plus a new all-in-one load order patcher. It's designed primarily to work as an New Game Plus style Survival Addon for my Wabbajack Modlist Life in the Ruins, however it can be used on it's own, or added to any other modlist (although I strongly recommend using a mod to reduce loot abundance, LitR uses Lunar Fallout Overhaul, and I provide a patch for it).

This is an initial version, if you're familiar with LitR 6.5, most of the mechanics will be very familiar. The only major change aside from integration of the various mods into a single plugin, and integration of the various patchers into a single patcher, is Power Armor. In old versions of LitR, the list used LBPAC + PA-DT. That's come out, and Lunar Fallout Overhaul is handling Power Armor balance, along with some new custom tweaks to the damage algorithm (shifting the minimum damage dealt down, so PA and other very high armor will have more reduction against small arms). The PA repair recipes now require Power Armor Scrap instead of steel, which you get from scrapping Power Armor. This should make repairing power armor both easier (because you don't have to grind rare materials), and harder, because it means to repair PA you have to sacrifice PA.

For this testing, I'm releasing the Radfall files for LitR 7.0, the full load order patcher will follow when I've had a chance to clean it up a bit further.

I'm mainly looking for feedback right now on general bugs or problems, as well as how the new Power Armor balance feels. Feel free to leave feedback on anything though, and let me know if there are configuration options you feel are missing, or things that you think should be fleshed out further.

How to Install

Download the two files, drag and drop them into the downloads tab in MO2, install and activate them. They should overwrite the complex sorter files already in the list.

EDIT: Reuploaded with fixed perks
Edit2: More perk fixes, I think this should be the last of them
Edit3: Fixed PA being unrepairable

Comments

Yeah, I was already thinking about that. On one hand I do like the idea, on the other hand, changing that means that raider PA can no longer be scrapped to repair higher tiers (unless I specifically build in a work around for it). For now, I dediced to leave it as required, until I've got some more general feedback on how Power Armor feels now- both in base LitR and in Radfall - balance is actually the same, only the repair mechanics are changed in Radfall.

Would Raider PA and Excavation PA also need PA scrap material? Because if they could be repaired with normal junk, this mechanic would give especially Raider PA a leg up over the more sophisticated types. So far Raider PA was in my opinion a bit useless, even with easier repair, except maybe to have more tiered opponents.
