Modified LitR - ENB and Weather and Lighting

As of 6.4 (actually coming in the next 6.4 as of the writing of this) LitR is swapping back to TrueStorms + True Nights + True Sight ENB. For a long time, the list had this configuration, but I swapped due to chasing some minor improvements with Lightweight Lighting + Spectrum ENB (by the same author, actually, and the same setup used by the Fusion wabbajack modlist). I've swapped back primarily to get True Storms back without having to patch it against a lighting mod, and to avoid having weird lighting in mod added interior cells.

Weather

Swapping out weather mods is fairly straightforward, (with the obvious exception of NacX which is a totally different beast- and requires more extensive patching, although I've not looked into this deeply).

For a weather mod, just grab whatever you want, check for conflicts to verify it's not doing something strange, and swap it out. You may need to rerun the sorter patcher if it's picked up the settings holotape if you want to fully remove True Storms.

ENBs

Swapping out an ENB is even simpler. The list uses Rootbuilder

So just install your ENB of choice in mod organizer, make it compatible with Rootbuilder by putting inside a folder with the name "root", add a [NODELETE] tag so if you ever update the list it doesn't get deleted, and you're basically done.

Lighting

Lighting is not so easy, unfortunately. Lighting mods fall into a couple of categories. Something like Lightweight Lighting isn't too bad to add back because it doesn't touch any CELL records, it just alters the properties of the lighting records. Then you have overhauls which actually go in and move the lights but don't touch CELL properties themselves, this type just needs to go above PRP. And then you have light overhauls with modify the CELL record properties, and these will need patching against PRP, and potentially against all of the interior overhauls which load after PRP. I'd recommend against grabbing complex lighting overhauls unless you're ready to get relatively deep in the weeds patching it for compatibilty.

Comments

Ah gotcha. Never experienced the list back before it was removed so wasn't sure what your normal baseline was. True storms is such a good mod. I ain't gonna lie, I've had my sound up too far and a sudden strike of thunder jump scared me lol

The removal of radstorms was a Lightweight Lighting thing, and that mod is coming out, so radstorms are back to vanilla + Lunar's tweaks.

Will this include the patches for rad storms everywhere? And if so, is there a way for them to tick higher than 1 or 2 per second? I find radiation fun early game when you are limited on supplies, but eventually it becomes nothing or beneficial if you can put points in ghoulish. Just curious, glad to see True Storms back
