Greetings, one and all!
If you know anything about me at all, then you know I love strong, beautiful, female heroes. They're the subject of my game Sanctuary in Time, and they're also the focus of some of my collecting obsessions.
You've probably heard me wax poetic about Jane Foster as the Mighty Thor or Captain Carter in her super-soldier persona. Well, get ready for the Pepper Potts train, people, 'cause it's rollin' into town!
I've yet to read any comics which feature Pepper in her role as the armored avenger Rescue, but I'm definitely keen to do so. And I've heard Matt Fraction does a bang-up job with her character in the Invincible Iron Man series. But thus far, my only real exposure to the character has been her brief appearance in the film Avengers: Endgame and my recent stumbling across a review of her Hot Toys 1/6th scale figure.
While I was intrigued by her appearance in the film, it was the review of the Hot Toys figure that really sparked my interest. Hot Toys is a company famous for their high-quality and superbly engineered products, and their rendition of Pepper Potts is no exception. As soon as I saw it, I had an inkling I wouldn't be able to resist. And, fast forward a week or so later, and whamo! She's now joined the well-armed forces defending my desktop.
This figure is downright amazing, people. Standing approx. 12" tall, featuring 30+ points of articulation, as well as a host of accessories and die-cast metal elements, the Hot Toys 1/6th scale Pepper Potts figure in her Rescue armor is pure collector's bliss.
