It's December 21st, the darkest day of the year, when the sun is farthest from us and hits its lowest horizon, also known as the Winter Solstice. But fear not! For it will return, as we'll see unfolding over the festive season of Yuletide.
Modern-day Christmas time is an amalgamation of many cultures and traditions, from Judeo-Christian to Heathen and even Roman. But beneath it all, we embrace the enduring spirit of life in the face of winter, generosity toward our fellows, and the rebirth of light.
Whatever season you celebrate or feast you find solace in, I wish you warmth of limb and spirit, and the closeness of kind fellows.
So, gather kith and kin, share what boons you bear, and laugh with shining teeth as life wins over despair!
