New Economy Features on the Way
Added 2022-08-24 17:48:33 +0000 UTCThrough playtesting of the Beta build (0.2.9), it's become evident that players need more ways to spend their resources (silver & energy) beyond just upgrading the settlement. This becomes especially important in the End Game, when settlement upgrades may be exhausted (or fewer and farther between).
I've already got some side story events in place that ask the player to donate silver or energy to aid worthy causes, but I think we also need outlets for those resources that are more regular and engaging, more tied in with moment-to-moment gameplay. So with that thought in mind, I've begun working on a couple of new economy features that should help alleviate that issue.
I won't go into too much detail yet, as it's all still very much in-development, but I will say this: Pretty soon players should have access to new ways of customizing the cosmetics of their followers, while also being able to spend their hard-earned silver and energy to do it.
I'm hoping these will be fun new ways to engage with your followers, as well as serving as outlets for spending those settlement resources.
