This was mainly because I went back and forth with several scholars about covering Zoroastrianism and all of them dropped out for one reason or another. Things are getting pretty rough for religious studies scholars in the US, especially those with more niche (but important!) specialties. Pay is meager and unstable, workloads are huge, and trust in media is at an all-time low. This is why I think it’s so important to spread religious literacy and show appreciation for their scholarship however I can. Luckily, Filip Holm of Let’s Talk Religion absolutely saved this video by studying up on and covering Zoroastrianism for us.
